VENICE

Venice is a small, unique city situated across a group of 118 islets separated by a complex web of 170 gondola-packed canals and linked by more than 400 footbridges. Venice’s main aquatic artery snaking through the bustling heart of the city, the famed Grand Canal, stretches four kilometres and passes by the most iconic pastel-coloured buildings ever to grace the skyline. The city was historically the capital of the Republic of Venice. Throughout its millennium-long history, Venice has earned such titles as the “The Most Serene” (La Serenissima), “Queen of the Adriatic“, “City of Water“, “City of Bridges“, and “The City of Light“.
